Introduction

GameShastra is seeking a talented 3D Environment Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Next-Gen asset creation, high poly/low poly modelling and PBR and Hand creation.

This job is a very versatile position that will use all aspects of your industry knowledge to create props, Buildings Hard surface model and textures, and environments that strive to set the new Industry standard in visuals.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with Leads, concept artists and environment artists to create the game environment assets for the engines like Unreal/Unity etc...
  • Communicating with clients to understand their design requirements.
  • Create realistic 3D models and PBR textures for organic and Non-organic objects and props by the artistic direction, production deadlines and technical specifications.
  • Determine ways to push the level of quality and efficiency for a Game environment.
  • Solve problems and develop workarounds to issues as they arise.
Required
  • 4+ years of game industry experience as an Environment Artist, having Unreal knowledge is a plus.
  • Complete knowledge of various 3D design techniques like Digital Sculpting(Zbrush), Procedural Modeling, and Box/Subdivision Modeling.
  • Excellent knowledge of real-time modelling and PBR Texturing techniques.
  • Having a strong portfolio of previous artworks and projects.
  • Solid team player with a strong work ethic and cooperative attitude.
  • A self-motivated and focused worker with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good time management skills and efficient development processes and applying those principles towards effectively meeting schedules and deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with 3D modelling/Texturing software such as Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop. 3D coat, Marvelous, Marmoset and Game Engines-Unreal/Unity is a plus.
