GameShastra Solutions Pvt. Ltd is looking for a highly skilled senior character artist to join an exciting project. Our passionate team cares deeply about creating epic gameplay and immersive experiences in an environment of open feedback and close collaboration.

As a senior character artist on the team, you will combine your strong sense of anatomy, design, and color theory with a healthy understanding of game development to breath the new life into our creatures and characters.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with teams through all aspects of the product life cycle, including prototyping, pre-production, production.

Responsibilities
  • Be able to customize art packages so that they are as streamlined as possible for specific projects

  • Be able to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
  • Have knowledge of console hardware architecture
  • Be highly skilled in the use of 3D graphics software like, 3Ds Max, Maya, etc…
  • Have good knowledge with game engines like Unity, Unreal, etc…
  • Be able to anticipate the needs of the artists so as to streamline their productivity
  • Have knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and procedures
  • People management skills, in order to train and mentor others will be a Plus
Day to Day Tasks:-
  • Character modeling and sculpting, UV layout, texture painting, and material setup.
  • Potential to take leadership to realize our vision by creating character assets at the highest level of artistic quality.
  • Explore visual ideas, prototype new techniques, and expand the envelope for artistic capability on the team.
  • Collaborate with all members of a team to make sure artwork fits within technical, design, and production requirements.
Your Background:-
  • Proficient in the use of 3D modeling applications such as Maya or Max, Zbrush, as well surfacing tools like Photoshop and Substance Painter.
  • 5+ years professional experience as a senior character artist in game development or an equivalent discipline.
  • Eye for balance the light & shade, color, and attention of detail in creating texture maps and materials.
  • Exceptional understanding of human, animal, and creature anatomy.
  • Looking for You to love to solve the problems and collaborate with the team to create the epic environment.
  • Maintain high quality and productivity throughout the project while meeting the deadlines.
Pluses
  • Solid background in traditional arts, but not limited to painting, illustration, design, or traditional media.
  • Experience with multiple Software ( Marmoset, Keyshot, Marvelous, X-Gen, Substance Designer, Mari, etc.).
  • Experience working with any engine.i.e Unreal,Unity.etc...
  • Shipped AAA games.
