Localization

Gameshastra is a leading game services provider across various gaming platforms and has a well established market in the Asian, European and American regions. Our certified multilingual team has provided support for multiple internal launches and can assist clients break linguistic and regional barriers to ensure game delivery to a global audience. We offer localization services for all major European and Asian languages.

Gameshastra’s team comprises experienced in-context editors and text only editors who localize the games. The in-game art work is processed by experts in the field of art and design. Gameshastra’s localization team is capable of working on multiple games in multiple languages simultaneously for fast turnarounds.

Our default localization service supports the following languages:

  • German (English - German)
  • French (English - French)
  • Italian (English - Italian)
  • Spanish (English - Spanish)
  • Latin American Spanish (English – Spanish)
  • Canadian French (English – French)

Gameshastra provides two options for the Localization services:

1) End to End Localization :

The localization process begins with receiving the source code and complete artwork. Our team then extracts all text files from the source code and graphics. The text is then translated into the languages requested by the client.
Gameshastra’s team provides clients with feedback on language and style, depending on the lingual demands of their customers. The team then re-inserts the text and makes the feature changes for complete implementation.
The team also conducts in-context editing and performs quality check on the software to ensure correct translation, format and functionality in localized languages.
The Gameshastra team also assists publishing partners by providing them with screenshots in localized languages, creating artworks and submitting the product finally.

2) Text Only Localization :

In this process the client provides the raw data files. These files contain text and/or artwork in their standard forms. Our translators then localize these texts as requested by the client. The client then incorporates the modified text into their software and provides us the final product, for us to perform in-context editing and quality assurance for text, formatting and functionality of the game.
